ALEC Action Endorses Brandon Newton In South Carolina Primary

Arlington, VA – ALEC Action, the advocacy partner of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), proudly endorses Brandon Newton for re-election to the South Carolina House of Representatives in the 2024 primary election.

“Rep. Newton is a steadfast supporter of the limited government and free market principles upon which our country was founded. He has consistently defended those values every day in Columbia,” said ALEC Action President Andrew Yates. “Residents of South Carolina can count on Brandon to protect their constitutional rights and uphold the values of liberty.”

As House Majority Whip, Rep. Newton introduced pivotal legislation to promote education freedom for all in addition to a bill that enhances online security protocols for minors. A native of South Carolina, Newton holds an undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Winthrop University.
